Harmony, Hope, and Healing Meeting: Feb. 28

Representatives from St. Bernadette’s High School Youth Ministry will be meeting with Marge Nykaza of Harmony, Hope, and Healing on Monday, Feb. 28th at 8 pm.  Harmony, Hope, and Healing is a creative music program offering dignity and spiritual healing to homeless and underserved women, children and men in the Chicago area.  During the meeting, we will discuss ways that our parish youth can engage the wider parish community in Harmony, Hope, and Healing’s ministry.

Do you want to become involved with this project? Come to the meeting at 8 pm in the Adult Formation Center on Feb. 28th.  The Adult Formation Center is located in the primary building of St. Bernadette Catholic Academy, and you can enter through the doors nearest St. Bernadette’s convent (2851 W. 93rd St.).

What’s New for YM…

Volleyball is coming! St. Bernadette is participating in the SSYMA intramural volleyball league beginning in January.  Check out the “Volleyball” page for details.

Are you answering Christ’s call? This year’s YM Team has decided to immerse Bernadette’s Youth Ministry in service and social justice work.  Do you want to help Bernadette YM answer Christ’s call to ministry?  Find out how you can get more involved by visiting the “Service” page.

The YM Team Needs You!

Why join the YM Team? “I am involved in Youth Ministry at Bernadette because I enjoy giving back to a community that has given me so much. I enjoy helping organize events and trying to bring people in our parish together. If you get involved you can help organize any activity you may be interested in or want to take place in our parish. Also, it looks great on college applications!” –Nicole Brettman, current YM Team member

The first YM Team meeting is this Sunday, Oct. 24th at 7:30 pm at St. Bernadette. For more information about the meeting or the YM team, click here: http://bernadetteym.wordpress.com/upcoming-events/
